Prof.Dr.M.Subramanian has over 36 yrs of service in Government Hospital in Tamil Nadu, 30 yrs of teaching experience for Under Graduates and 25 yrs of teaching experience for Post Graduates. He was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his exemplary services in the field of Medicine by the MGR University in the Year 2012.

He has occupied various positions ranging from Assistant Professor to Professor in Government Royapettah Hospital, Kilpauk Medical College and Government General Hospital. He retired as Professor and Head of Department from Madras Medical College (Government General Hospital).
